Privacy Policy
Last updated: 08/04/2026
Starlife is made by Silversmith & Gamer, a studio run by Nicholas Karlovich. This policy explains what information we collect, and what we don't.
The short version: the Starlife game collects nothing. This website collects an email address only if you choose to give us one.
The Starlife app
The Starlife game does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
No account is required, and none can be created.
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits.
The app makes no network connections.
Your game progress — levels completed, statistics, achievements — is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. We cannot see it. It is removed if you delete the app.
If you take part in the TestFlight beta, Apple provides us with limited information about that testing — such as crash reports and the fact that a build was installed — under Apple's own privacy terms. We use it only to fix bugs.
This website
Email signup. If you sign up for early access, we collect the email address you enter and, where you provide it, a name. We use it for one purpose: to tell you about Starlife — beta access, launch, and occasional development updates. We do not sell, rent, or share it. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to hello@starlife.info.
Email signups are stored and sent using Squarespace, which hosts this site and acts as our service provider. Their handling of that data is governed by Squarespace's own privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics.
Squarespace sets cookies necessary to run the site and collects basic aggregate visitor statistics — pages viewed, approximate region, referring site. We use this only to understand which pages people find useful. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Contact.
If you email hello@starlife.info, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and follow up.
How long we keep things
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Correspondence is kept as long as it's useful for supporting you, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under GDPR in the UK and EEA, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. To exercise
any of these, email hello@starlife.info and we'll act on it. There's no cost, and it's one person reading the message.
We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
Children
Starlife is suitable for all ages, and the game collects no data from anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to hello@starlife.info and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced to the mailing list.
